These Arms were matriculated from my Grandfather, Thomas Urquhart’s, Arms.
The shield is divided by a horizontal band. Above the band the background is gold with three red boars’ heads on it. This is a design which is traditionally associated with Clan Urquhart. Therefore, it is located in the most prominent position on the shield.
Below the horizontal band, the background is white with two red stars on it. This design is traditionally associated with Clan McRae which is appropriate for my grandfather’s mother.
On the blue horizontal band, the Lyon chose to show a gold cartwheel, its spokes red in the center. This symbol is a reference to one of my great grandfather’s businesses.
The falcon rising on the crest is a reference to my career in aeronautics.
