Assumed Arms of the Vicar Apostolic

This is a framed painting of the assumed arms of Bishop John Murdoch (1796-1863), Vicar Apostolic of the Western District of Scotland before the Restoration of the Hierarchy. The galero and tassels are wrong on two counts, being the number for an Archbishop and the colour for a Cardinal.
