The Kalter family originates from the village of Arzheim near the German city of Coblenz at the confluence of the rivers Rhine and Mosel. Hence the spiral fluvial patterns. The family name derives from the German word „keltern“ for making wine. Green and Gold refer to the white wine grapevines´ foliage during the seasons. The Pilgrim´s Shell refers to the Catholic Creed of the family as well as to their values of modesty and industry as visualised through small paces. The motto echoes a striving for like ideals.

Assumed in November 2018. Heraldic Artist: Nick Truvor (Nikita Vuimin)
