Lumsden
Gordon Goodwin Lumsden

Arms: Azure on a fess engrailed, between two wolves’ heads erased in chief and an escallop shell in base all Or, three antique crowns Gules.

Crest: A Dexter arm embowed welding a sword proper, hilted and pommelled Or.

Motto “Dei Bono Sum Quod Sum”

Matriculated Arms and Bearings showing the Fess engrailed as the suitable variation from the Arms and Bearings granted to my great uncle Robert Lumsden shown in Volume 32 Folio 46 granted on 26 th day of March 1937 who died without male issue.

The Extract is taken from the 8th page of the 92nd Volume of the Public Register of all Arms and Bearings in Scotland Granted on the 22 day of December 2015.

The Arms closely resemble Lumsden of Cushnie Arms going back about 800 years with the fess of three antique crowns from the Arms of Grant, the grandmother of my great uncle was a Grant presumably my great uncle wished to incorporate the Grant connection.
