Close up of Heraldry on Tolhuis (customs house) Bruges. Photographed by Leslie A Schweitzer 2004
The Tolhuis (customs house). It was "re-built in 1478 for Pieter of Luxembourg, whose gilded coat of arms is carved above the entrance." Just to the west (dexter) of the Tolhuis is the very narrow but elaborately decorated building called the Huis der Lastdragers (guildhouse of the Stevedores), built in 1470.
