Ogilvy, C. - Memorial Panel **59?
St. Drostan's Church, Aberdour, Aberdeenshire

Ogilvie quartered with Edmondstone.

Sir Walter Ogilvie of Boyne (d ca 1508) had married the heiress Janet Edmonstone of that Ilk in about 1470 and therefore it would seem that this coat represents a lady of the house of Boyne. The balancing shield on the left of the monument, for her husband, is missing and it is therefore difficult to establish precisely who she was.

Photographed: Stanley Bruce (March 2007)
