Per pale argent and vert; a castle triple towered per pale gules and argent, windows, port and turret caps sable; a bordure parted per pale gules and argent, charged with four roses barbed and seeded vert alternately with four escutcheons, all counterchanged; on a canton or a cushion gules

The arms are a ‘regrant’ of the arms of the old burgh, done away with like all burghs in 1975, with the old burgh motto
