Gibson, Colonel Thomas
Probably the arms of Lt Colonel Thomas Gibson (89th Foot). He was 3rd son of John Gibson of Durie which explains the mullet as a minor brisure. The bordure is not recorded in Lyon Register but matches that on a memorial in Gdansk. Many of the younger sons of the Gibsons of Durie were merchants there, and Colonel Gibson's uncle Archibald was made a Prussian noble as Freiherr von Gibsone.
